Magdalena B. Metelska is a Senior Attorney at Contreras & Metelska, PA. Ms. Metelska received her Juris Doctor in May of 2010 from Hamline University School of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Ms. Metelska also received her Bachelors of Arts from Hamline University in 2007 in Global Studies.
Ms. Metelska has over 10 years of experience in working with immigration law. She specializes in removal defense. She defends clients who are in removal proceedings and charged with immigration violations such as illegal presence, crimes involving moral turpitude, aggravated felonies and other violations. She handles a wide variety of immigration applications including cancellation of removal, asylum, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, U visas, and VAWA. Ms. Metelska also defends clients in criminal matters such as DWI and domestic violence.
Ms. Metelska’s favorite part about her work is meeting individuals from all over the world.
Prior to joining Contreras & Metelska, PA, Ms. Metelska worked as an immigration attorney at a law office in Brooklyn Park. Prior to that, she worked as a law clerk at another firm in Minneapolis.
In her free time, Ms. Metelska enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, exercising, and cooking.
