Ljubica (Libby) Popovic, J.D., MPA, earned her juris doctorate from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, a Masters of Public Administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology – Stuart School of Business and a Bachelors of Arts from Loyola University Chicago.
She began her career as an assistant State’s Attorney prosecuting misdemeanors and arguing criminal appellate cases before the Illinois Appellate Court and Illinois Supreme Court. She continued her career as Staff Attorney to Justice Margaret O’Mara Frossard, First District Appellate Court assisting in drafting legal opinions on matters pending before the Appellate Court and to Justice Thomas R. Fitzgerald in Illinois Supreme Court where she completed legal research and assisted in authoring opinions in civil and criminal cases.
